Nice typical bavarian food in a pub-like ambiance. The prices are reasonable and the food was decent. The proceeds tables have hearing lights so you can stay out even when it's cool, that was very nice.

Actually nice, typical pub. Food solala, service unfortunately disaster. 45min waiting time, although it was quite empty, then forgot to eat, without excuse, etc. Not (anymore) really recommended.

Been back to the Scheidegger for a long time ... everything was just good as expected ... only the conditions weren't quite as attentive as one would wish ... the orders went quickly, but clearing took too long ... ..

It took a while until we were served ... it is better if you reserve a table outside if you sit inside you will be ignored (we sat in the back by the sliding door near the makeshift beer garden) Our orders took forever ... The 2 beers only came after we wanted to have the bill. During that time, the waitress wasn't 2 meters outside and didn't look at us 5 times or ask if we wanted anything ... It was really disappointing!

Great: The food was very good and a lot. Feedback / suggestions for improvement: Unfortunately, the service was by no means good. - It starts with the fact that we (4 people) shouldn't walk over at our reserved table due to the Corona distance regulation, but sit in a row. When you go out to eat, you usually want to have a conversation - in a row it's difficult and absolutely weird. We were able to find an alternative, reasonably acceptable solution, but please set up your tables so that you can eat normally (if necessary with fewer tables in the room, but the guests can at least sit normally). - The table wasn't wiped, it was a bit sticky, and it wasn't wiped. - It continues with the times you wait for your food and drinks. We had to wait an hour for our food order (4 people, partly the same dishes) and other guests who came long after us were served earlier. The second round of drinks (with food) only came at the end when everyone had finished eating, that is, food without a drink. - Unfortunately, wheat was out (Saturday evening). - Our service was still relatively friendly, which cannot be said of the other waitresses when asked. Conclusion: We wanted to show a friend from abroad the good Bavarian cuisine. In terms of food, it was perfect - unfortunately not at all in terms of the overall operating situation. The problems or the stressed staff seem to come primarily from the non-existent organization. I hope you just had a bad day and that this is not a permanent condition.

Because of the change of shift, nobody could work on site. So we sat for half an hour without placing an order and had to wait. Not even a drink could be ordered. First and last time there!

The best joke of the decade ... no one could be served because of shift changes. We weren't even allowed to order drinks. Nothing. We left after 30 minutes. Another person waited 15 minutes before we got there, so it was 45 minutes for her when we left. How does that work? Joke.

A serious, super Bavarian restaurant with fresh draft beer and very good s tasty freshly prepared food. Tip pork schnitzel with super fresh fries !!

It’s my local and i have come here for a few years now. A great place for a quiet drink on a week. If he or during the warmer months when you can sit outside and enjoy a lovely atmosphere. It’s located on a residential street so no traffic noise. Food menu is extensive and the food is generally of good quality. Service is ok and you do need to ask if you want someone to pay attention to you. It’s reasonably priced and I like it.

Very nice place, where even the residents of the surrounding area meet at dinner. As soon as you enter, you are greeted very friendly by the counter. The economy was also open all day on January 1st, with hot meals throughout. Service is quick and helpful, the food came to the table quickly. The portions are really big and the prices are reasonable. We had the cheese sparrows for € 8.90, dumpling tris for € 9.80 and the roast pork with dumplings and coleslaw at € 9.80. Everything was good and plentiful. The Russian half cost € 4.00, the rhubarb spritzer € 4.20 each. A highly recommended restaurant where we like to come again and again.

Arrived shortly before 6 p.m. in an 80% empty restaurant - without reservation - to eat pasta with sauce with my 2-year-old daughter. It takes less than half an hour. We were rejected with the argument "unfortunately everything reserved". That has never happened to me. It is always possible to accommodate a father and child for 30 minutes in an almost empty pub for a quick meal. Maybe that was an isolated case, otherwise I can only advise against spontaneous visits.

Very colorful and cozy place, beautiful atmosphere. There are English menus available, as well as English speaking personnel. The dishes are not so good, my GF didn't like sauce and roast beef. Cordon Bleu was absolutely perfect for me. There are many locals in there. I'd return to this place to drink very delicious and mild Augustiner Lager.

Sometimes I visit my daughter in Munich. Lives around the corner. That's why we go to the Scheidegger every now and then. We always enjoyed it. Service was perfect too. I find prices for Munich rather cheap.

Original Bavarian restaurant with typical food. Very kind staff and pleasant service.

Sat for 30 minute and was completely ignored by 5 staff on service. Picked up coats and left. It was only moderately busy, so no excuse.

In my expirience it was quite nice. The food was tasty, although the house was full. Service was perfect. I recommend giving it a go.

Great food at good prices. English menu is available if you ask for one and staff spoke pretty good English. We stumbled upon this place our first day in Munich and were surprised how amazing the food was.

Racist pub with extremely rude service

What a terrible disappointment! Don’t consider this an option during weekends or busy times (basically the times when you want to go out!). The innkeeper crammed every corner with an extra table, certainly saves his money to engage the required necessary number of waiters. As a result, it’s really noisy, crammed and over stressed waiters. Waiting's lengthily for your orders. Absolutely NOT gemütlich! I was very surprised to find such a miserable place in Schwabing. Food, average. Many better options in close range.

This place was recommended by a friend so we expected it to be good. It’s hard to know what the place is really like as the waitress’s ignored us both when we arrived and when we got a table. We decided to leave soon after we got a table as we got such an unwelcoming experience from the waitress. This was so disappointing as it was the first place we went to for food where we felt we were not welcome if you didn’t speak German. (No English menu available so you have no idea what your looking at, Everywhere else we have visited have had English menu’s).

The food is nice and cheap. The workers are also polite and friendly. Basically, it's a good place to go to if you want to have something nice and cheap :)

Cosy local German restaurant with relaxed atmosphere and good food

A really nice local bar with a decent range of drinks and food. Staff were very helpful and spoke good English. There is outside seating until 11pm where you can smoke and watch the world go by. We visited on quite a quiet evening but there was still a good atmosphere.

I really like this place, always go there when someone comes visit me in the city. Prices are ok, food is always good! Lots of options and lunch there is really cheaper. Strongly recommended

Nice local neighbourhood bar with a good selection of foot and drinking available. Staff were very friendly and helpful with ordering. Food was delicious, would definitely recommend the Schnitzel Wiener Art. Building does seem to block out mobile networks so ask for the WiFi when you arrive.

2019 and I cannot pay with a credit card in a restaurant....

An authentic German restaurant with tasty traditional Bavarian schweinshaxe mit kartoffelnodel, however i did find a caterpillar in the salad. Also let down by the fact they did not take card however the server allowed us to leave and get the required money from an atm. Overall average food but great service!
